Silly Kitty Stories

The Invasion!

see kitty
who's NOT amused
watching the kitten
explore the house
room
by room
despite all kitty's efforts
to the contrary
see kitty
retreat
to the arm of the sofa
to perch
and watch
as the tiny mop
that somewhat resembles
a miniature lion
invades his territory
quite sure
it's not friend
but wondering
if it's foe
or lunch?
see susan
watch the interchange
with amusement and concern
see neal
enter the room
just as the little ball of fluff
decides to trot
out from under the phone stand
towards the couch
and laugh "what is THAT?"
and then smile
as he picks up the creature
that is to be his own kitty
and give the squirming bundle a hug
see kitty
the REAL kitty
decide that the bedroom
is the only retreat
from this asylum
that used to be
his living room
very very disgusted kitty
