Although our inserts can be removed for cleaning, there may come the time when your insert needs to be replaced.
Made in the USA and the backings are a composite, made up of some recycled materials

Modern Critter Bent Plywood Cat Scratcher
The moderncritter bent plywood cat scratcher is made of 5/8" thick molded plywood and is covered in natural walnut veneer. It is coated in a clear matte lacquer finish. Because we use natural wood, the color and grain pattern may vary slightly as with any natural wood furniture.
This unique cat scratcher can be configured in many ways:

The moderncritter bent plywood cat scratcher comes standard with two FLOR Terra style carpet tiles.
We chose Terra because its neutral colors will go with almost any decor and its the most eco-friendly of all the FLOR carpet tile options. It is made of 34% renewable corn based material. Note: The stripe pattern on Terra tiles is random, no two tiles are exactly alike.

How can I be sure my cat will like this furniture?
Some cats can be fickle and won't immediately appreciate their cool new furniture. Generally, cats need to understand that a new piece of furniture is for them. Sometimes it can take a little time to adjust (and to stop scratching your favorite sofa!). We recommend positively re-enforcing their usage of our Modern Cat Condo by using treats, petting, and catnip to communicate
their ownership. Soon, you'll have a hard time tearing them away from their new cat condo.
Cleaning
This unit is really easy to keep clean with periodic vacuuming. Our recommendation is to use a fabric roller for quick cleaning.
